Vintage 1960 Harmony Silvertone STRATOTONE 1421 Guitar with Original Case

Here's a really cool, hollowbody Stratotone from 1960 that was often branded as Silvertone, but this lost it's logo many years ago. Everything on this guitar is stock except for the tophat selector switch. The bridge may have been replaced at some point, but looks as old as the guitar. This plays and sounds great and comes with the original chipboard case. All of the pickups and electronics work as they should with no scratchiness. The pots are dated 1960. This was just restrung with GHS Boomers .09-.42s. I've owned this guitar over 20 years and don't play it as much as it should be played so it's time to let it go. In overall good condition for its age and shows lots of play on the back of the neck where the paint has rubbed off down to a clear wood finish. The body shows typical bumps and knocks, but nothing major. There is one small corner of the pickguard that is loose, but holds in place under the screw, as seen in the closeup photo near the bridge. A great guitar that needs to be played and would be a nice addition to any collection. The action is fairly typical on these models and is comfortable to play. Frets show some wear in a few places, but lots of life left. There is some fret sprout on most frets that can be filed down to the next owner's liking. The case shows some signs of age and storage, but is still solid and all latches work. From a smoke free home.
