About this guitar:
Weight: 8 pounds
This guitar came directly from Charvel to my supplier, it has never been sold retail. It was tested by a team of factory technicians and no issues were found, all electronics work as designed, the neck is straight, no fret buzz, set up to factory specs. When we polished the guitar we did not find any blemishes, scratches or dings, this guitar is in new condition.
Per agreement with Charvel, since this guitar was not distributed through the dealer network there is a tiny used stamp on the back of the headstock and the last two digits of the stamped serial number have been removed and a sticker with the serial number has been placed over the stamped number.
Here is what Charvel says about the MJ San Dimas Style 1 HSH PF QM FR:
Harkening back to the late '80s when Charvel® guitars were manufactured exclusively in Japan, we introduce the all-new MJ Series - an exciting lineup of instruments attentively crafted in Japan. Exquisite in style, the MJ Series blends Charvel's unparalleled legacy of designing high-performance instruments with an assortment of top-end features and stunning finishes.
The MJ San Dimas® Style 1 HSH FR PF QM is a brazen new model designed for the progressive guitarist seeking a spectrum of sound beyond the norm. The alder body with quilt maple top is wrapped in a wicked Midnight Glow finish and accented with chrome hardware. Built for speedy playability, the bolt-on maple neck features graphite reinforcement, slick hand-rubbed oil finish on the back and heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel. Its 12"-16" compound radius pau ferro fingerboard features comfortable rolled edges, 24 jumbo frets and white dot inlays.
An HSH configuration gives this model its distinctive tone. A direct mount Seymour Duncan® JB TB-4 humbucking bridge pickup and direct mount Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 middle pickup radiate unmistakable upper midrange attack with a tight, articulate low end and snappy Strat character. The direct mount Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2N neck humbucker delivers articulate, glassy treble response that balances well with a full but tight low end.
The MJ San Dimas® Style 1 HSH FR PF QM hosts other premium appointments including a five-way blade switch for endless tonal variations, no-load tone control and volume knob (with Bourns® low-friction pot), Gotoh® GE1996T Series double-locking tremolo, Gotoh die-cast tuners and more.

- FAQ, frequently asked questions
Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher? The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.
Who refurbishes your instruments? All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.
Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty? No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.
Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it? All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box. However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and getting bumped around during shipping. Also some players like to set up a new guitar to their own personal preferences.
