The Astro-Monkey is the Honey BooBoo circuit in a small packet (after all, maybe you don't need a speaker and cabinet, so why pay for them?).
Up to 12 watts of the sweetest single-ended hand-wired tone available, certainly at this price.
The amp fits inside its own padded bag for easy transport to and from gigs. 10lbs with shoulder strap, plus the bag has pockets for cables, strings, tuner, etc.
The Plus model (shown) includes power switching on the rear panel for either 6L6GC or 6V6 use. 10-12w of tube power is surprisingly loud, so some users prefer the 6V6 for earlier harmonic overdrive and singing tones.
Toroidal PT for minimum noise and maximum responsiveness. 15w rated OT for maximum clean tones before break-up. Highest quality components throughout.
6U8A pentode preamp tube has a 3-stage switch moving progressively toward triode mode: pentode offers greatest preamp gain. Treble filter switch is has three positions and is akin to a presence control, reducing any super bright frequencies developed by some pick-ups when necessary.
Three output taps for 4, 8, or 16 ohm speaker configuration.
