Left of the Diallers, whenever I sit down with a great D-28 with a huge, rich voice like this minty-fresh gently-used satin model, I can't help but think one of thing: how much I appreciated Quandre Diggs when he patrolled the middle of the field for my Detroit Lions wearing the number 28. During his tenure, every that ball went up in the air deep, I felt the sort of peace Zen masters spend their lives pursuing, because I knew 28 would be there to pick it, get a PBU, or lay the wood. Remember when he picked off Sam Darnold's first-ever pass attempt and made a house call? Man, I thought that was an omen of a Super Bowl parade...it's a shame he got traded for a bag of chips because he clashed with the coach. But, I'm glad he got a ring with the Seahawks last year!
Where were we...oh yeah, this D-28 Satin. Sorry, Quandre Diggs talk leaves me a bit of a reverie. Anyhoo, I played this guitar and it's an outstanding example. It has huge bass response, fantastic treble sparkle, and a beautiful, complex overtone profile. It's also remarkably clean--the only cosmetic imperfection is some finish settling on the back. Other than that, there's very little evidence of playwear. It comes with its original hardshell case and an undying appreciation for undersized ball-hawking safeties.
