This Sabian 22" HHX Legacy Ride weighs 2893 grams. This ride is a lot more articulate than most other 22" ride cymbals because of the fact it is a thicker cymbal. It still has some wash to it, but because of its thickness everything has so much clarity and ping to it. Its overall tone is warmer and is darker being a larger cymbal which makes perfect for heavier music that needs the ride to cut through rather than providing support.

Sabian says: "Designed with legendary Dave Weckl, Legacy is the dark side of Dave’s sound.  Vibrant, trashy and beautiful, Legacy Rides offer great articulation over a dark cushion of sound.  The 22″ model is a somewhat heavier weight than the 20″ and 21″, resulting in less wash and more stick sound."
