Dean EVO XM made in Korea in October of 2009. The fit in finish on this guitar matches the reputation of the Korean Dean’s. It is exceptionally well put together for this price point. This is a lot of guitar for the money.
Electronics appear to be original and are in good working order with good volume and tonal control and plenty of versatility in sound.
This guitar plays great with reasonably low action, no fret buzz, and plays in tune all the way up the neck. I think a previous owner may have had the nut filed. The grooves on the nut don’t look machine made. I think that is one of the main reasons this guitar plays so well.
There are a couple small dings and scratches, mostly on the head stock, and all of them a very minor. This guitar is in great shape for its age. It was well taken care of and not beat on.
I find the fretboard on this guitar is rather beautiful with lots of character and color in the grain.
Guitar comes strung with a fresh set of Daddario NYXL 10s.
