USA-made Ovation 1869 custom legend in great condition! Gorgeous Sitka spruce and fully-loaded abalone inlays. Plays and sounds great!

Acoustically, this guitar has a highly focused tone that suits particularly well for lead playing and singer-songwriters. Plugged in, you get the crystal-clear sound that Ovation has been known for!

The guitar is in overall very good condition. No cracks. No lifting bridge. No neck-joint seam. Plenty of shims under the saddle. Electronics work perfectly. Just minor signs of use here and there.

With the following notes:

- The tuning gears have been replaced with a Schaller M-6 chrome set. Matching screw holes and functions smoothly. The original gold set, though fancy-looking, has one pearl tuner button completely cracked and another slightly cracked. These are from the earlier days of Schaller. They have thicker shafts (4.0mm by 3.8mm) and will NOT fit the current Schaller replacement buttons (roughly 3.8mm by 3.6mm). I've been searching but I just couldn't find any, and that is why I had to replace the whole set to make the guitar functional again. I will include the original set (see last two photos) just in case you can find the correct buttons. I'm sure the gears are still good.

- The top, especially the upper bout near the soundhole, has some "sunken" (warped) areas. This is a common symptom of Ovation guitars from that era, especially on their super-shallow models. It has been this way ever since I acquired the guitar and, fortunately, it does not cause any cracks or action issues. You will only notice if you are looking at the guitar from an angle.

- Does NOT include the original hard-shell case, but will be packaged carefully and insured before shipping out.
