Up for sale is an incredibly well-preserved 1974 Gibson SG Standard in its gorgeous original Walnut finish. This guitar is a true "time capsule" piece—it was played gently during its first few years and then safely stored away for decades.
**Condition & Playability:**
The guitar is in stunning, near-mint cosmetic condition, displaying a vibrant finish that is rare for Norlin-era instruments. It shows only minor, negligible wear on the first few frets from early use, but absolutely no breaks, cracks, or repairs. The neck is straight, the action is low, and it plays beautifully across the entire fretboard.
**Originality:**
100% original hardware and electronics. It features the period-correct "Harmonica" bridge, factory-installed Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, original pots, and untampered solder joints. The original pickups deliver that classic, biting '70s SG growl with incredible clarity.
**Case:**
Includes the original Gibson hardshell case. Please note: the internal plush lining was professionally replaced/restored years ago to keep the instrument well-protected, but the structural case shell and latches are original.
