The one that started it all — the DOD 250 has been clipping signals since the mid-'70s and influencing overdrive design ever since (yes, including the MXR Dist+, which shares its DNA). This 2013 reissue is the one to have: it runs the vintage-correct LM741 op-amp, the same IC as the original grey-box era pedals, giving you that characteristic smooth, vocal clip that later versions moved away from.
Two knobs, zero fluff:
- Gain — from light grit to full grind
- Level — unity body boost or solo-cutting volume push. Gain at zero, Level cranked = a clean boost with serious output
True bypass — unlike the original, your dry tone stays completely unaffected when it's off. Blue LED status indicator, standard 9V DC jack, lightweight aluminum chassis.
Condition: Excellent. No box, but this pedal is solid and road-ready.
