Electric zither - unique vintage stringed instrument

This is a 1986 zither / lap harp / door harp, that I electrified to be played through an amplifier.

It has 4 metal strings.

You can tune using a small pliers. See the video for the typical range of notes.

Features:

- made of bare wood for best sound. I think it's pine.

- 1/4 inch output jack

- no power or batteries required

- measures about 10x9x1 inches.
