They are highly sought-after, becoming increasingly rare, and are now virtually unaffordable! But do they really sound *that* much better? This Höfner 173 sounds great, plays perfectly, and all controls are fully functional: 2 single-coil pickups, 1 volume pot, 3 tone pots, and 3 on/off switches. ...The plastic parts have developed a lovely, natural yellowed patina. All chrome parts—including the tremolo arm—are in very good condition. Features a tremolo system and comes fitted with a new set of .009 gauge strings.
