Vintage 1970s Ludwig Supraphonic LM400 5x14" snare drum with the classic Blue & Olive badge and chrome‑over‑aluminum shell. Serial number 975610. This is the iconic Ludwig snare you’ve heard on countless records—bright, sensitive, and versatile enough for rock, pop, funk, and more.
- Original Ludwig hardware including P85 strainer, butt plate, lugs, and hoops
- Chrome shows normal age wear and light cosmetic marks, some pitting as shown in photos, but no major dents or structural issues
- Shell is round and tunes up well
- Snare side and batter heads show playing wear; still usable, but you may want to replace them to taste
- Snare wires are functional; replace if you prefer a fresh set
Overall, this is a solid player’s Supraphonic with honest vintage wear and that classic Ludwig sound. Not mint, but a great working drum with tons of character. Will include original Ludwig stand (which is missing the rubber feet).
