( AK: 926-2 ) Here is a Gibson Les Paul Classic 120th Anniversary in black, featuring coil-splittable Burstbucker '61 humbuckers with an open-coil "zebra" look, active BOOST circuitry... includes original paperwork ("White Papers") and comes in its original hardshell case. The guitar shows light signs of playwear, but no major dings or dents, and no grooves in the original frets—nor any notches in the fretboard itself! A Les Paul Classic from the Gibson 120th Anniversary Collection, manufactured in the USA in 2014. The Gibson Les Paul Classic from the 2014 model year (marking Gibson's 120th anniversary) is a unique instrument, as it combines a traditional vintage aesthetic with modern electronics that were highly advanced for their time! From the factory, this model is equipped with two legendary humbuckers featuring a "zebra" look (black and white coils without covers): Neck Position: Gibson '57 Classic Humbucker. Bridge Position: Gibson Super '57 Humbucker. Active Circuitry (The "Turbo Boost") This guitar does not feature fully active pickups (such as EMGs); rather, it utilizes passive pickups combined with an active preamp. The control layout deviates from the standard configuration: there are two volume knobs, but only one master tone knob. The space typically occupied by the second tone knob is instead utilized for the active circuitry! In place of the second tone pot, there sits a small mini-toggle switch. When flipped, this switch engages a battery-powered preamp that boosts the signal by up to 15 decibels—perfect for driving your amplifier directly into saturation for a solo. Power Supply: The boost circuit requires a standard 9V battery, which is housed in a compartment located on the back of the guitar body. Good to know: If the battery runs out, the guitar will still function perfectly normally in passive mode with the boost switch turned off. Coil-Splitting: Both volume pots feature a push/pull design. Body: Mahogany Top: Arched Maple Top A special "120th Anniversary" inscription is inlaid into the fretboard. Frets: Cryogenically treated frets (exceptionally wear-resistant and durable). Weight: 4.150 kg We have treated the guitar to a professional setup featuring a fresh set of Ernie Ball strings (gauge 10-46); during this process, the fretboard was cleaned and oiled, and the intonation and string action were optimally adjusted! The guitar comes with its original Gibson black hardshell case and various accessories! Take a look around our store: Does the price not work for you? Don't hesitate to make us an offer here!
