Buffet Crampon R13 Vintage Model Silver Clarinet--Recent Overhaul, Nice!

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon "Vintage Model" clarinet in Bb. S/n 459XXX is too new for the published lists, but it is either 1998 or 1999. Designed by Buffet for those folks who prefer the sound, response and feel of the classic 1960's Buffet's, this clarinet closely matches the original bore and the original tone hole sizes and spacing. It is in exceptional condition:  all-grenadilla body has no chips, cracks or repairs and nice, squared tenons with no wobble between joints. Silver plated rather than nickel (currently a $720 upgrade!) about 99.5% with little if any wear at all, unpolished and with a nice, even patina. Has obviously been overhauled not too long ago and the pad show hardly any use at all. Just through our shop where it was bore oiled, had two new tenon corks and three smaller pads replaced, and was adjusted and brought up into marvelous playing condition. One of the darker, more open examples of all our R13's. Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only, but it does include am adjustable thumb rest, new ProTec microfiber cloth, and a new SuperSlick chamois swab. All in the deluxe, leather attache case with gold hardware and one key. A great-playing and hard-to-find Buffet, and more than $2,500 less than a new, standard R13!
