Up for sale is this great 1966 Gibson Firebird III

This Firebird has had its neck reset at somepoint. Under A black light you can see the neck and headstock and body are free from breaks, but you can see were on the neck joint to the body it has been touched up.

There is also an old stinger painted on the headstock, and the back of the neck may have been refinished, but blacklight matches the rest of the guitar.

The Guitar has also been re-fretted and had a bone nut installed.

The rest of the guitar is original.

The Vibrola has been removed so that the guitar is more playable but is included in the case.

The finish on the guitar is pretty clean for its age with light checking.

The pickguard has shrunk and has cracks.

There are good replacements out there, but we left that up to the next owner on whether they want to replace it or not.

The pickups and electronics are all original and work and sound great.

The neck is straight and very comfortable.

As stated above, the frets have been replaced, and the guitar is set up and plays great with medium to low action. You have room to go up or down depending on how you like your guitar setup.

The back of the headstock has a factory painted stinger on it. You can see the 900034 serial number under the right light and angle.

Will be shipped in the case that it came in from new, although it appears to be a vintage Thunderbird case judging by the length of it.
