Up for sale is a very clean, factory-matched pair of vintage 1976 Celestion G12M 25-watt, 16-ohm guitar speakers. These are the highly desirable, rare T2168 variant [1]. From the factory, the T2168 model was built identically to the legendary T1221 "Blackback" but deliberately produced without the plastic magnet covers, featuring the large gold-and-black Rola Celestion label directly on the ceramic magnet. This low-profile design makes them perfect for tighter 2x12 or combo cabinets while delivering identical, quintessential mid-70s Marshall-era rock tones.Key Features & Details:Date Code: Both frames are stamped with matching FJ18 ink codes, dating their production precisely to June 18, 1976.Cones: 100% original Kurt Mueller 75Hz lead cones, clearly stamped with the coveted 1777 white ink markings.Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The original factory black adhesive over the voice coil lead wires is intact and untouched. The cones are structurally sound with no tears, holes, or voice coil rub.Testing: Both speakers have been fully tested w Voltmeter readings at 13+Ohms. Taken from the original owners amp from 1976.
Don't miss a rare chance to grab a true, unmolested matched pair of 1976 Celestions to complete your vintage restoration or cabinet build.
