Inspired by one of the most celebrated viola designs in history, the Scott Cao STA-750E Stradivari Viola channels the elegance and balance of a classic Antonio Stradivari instrument into a beautifully crafted modern build. Its 16” body offers a comfortable feel with a rich, resonant voice that responds effortlessly to both expressive solo playing and ensemble work. From the graceful arching to the traditional varnish finish, this viola carries the timeless character players expect from a Stradivari-inspired design.

A carefully selected European spruce top pairs with figured maple back and sides to create a tone that is warm, focused, and deeply musical. The spruce delivers clarity and sensitivity under the bow, while the maple body adds projection and definition with a smooth, singing upper register. Hill-style ebony fittings throughout — including the fingerboard, tailpiece, chin rest, and pegs — give the instrument a refined traditional aesthetic while contributing to its stable, dependable feel in the hands.

Built and varnished in Guangzhou with thoughtful attention to detail, the STA-750E blends old-world inspiration with modern craftsmanship.
