This clarinet is one of our favorite new instruments. We're especially impressed with its double-register mechanism, a miniature version of the bass clarinet's. It makes playing a throat Bb beautifully resonant and in-tune, completely eliminating the stuffy sound and the need for complex resonance fingerings. The Firebird's throat Bb alone is a reason to try this instrument!

Advanced Features

Double-Register Mechanism: Say goodbye to stuffy throat Bbs. This innovative key mechanism provides a clean, clear tone and perfect intonation without the need for alternative fingerings.

G/D Vent on Lower Joint: An optional vent below the Low F tonehole that opens up the second register, allowing the instrument to sing. You have to feel and hear it to believe the difference it makes.

Ergonomic Register Key: The thoughtfully designed, plump end of the key is perfect for those with bigger thumbs, preventing the need to twist your hand and making activation more comfortable and natural.

The Firebird offers a medium resistance (5/10), providing a terrific feel and a clean sound with plenty of color. Its playability is reminiscent of the Buffet Festival.
