1997 Orville
Private owner located in Miami. This is a beautiful guitar, made by FujiGen factory, Nov, 1997, and licensed by Gibson. Guitar works perfectly and plays great. The stock pickups sound nice and warm with punch. The cherry sunburst finish really pops on this one. There are a couple of dents/ imperfections that I tried to capture in the last couple of photos. Other than that, it's in really great shape. Just a beautiful piece.
Again, these Orvilles were officially licensed by Gibson in the '80's and '90's and their build quality easily matched, and often surpassed that of Gibson USA at the time. They blow the Korean and Chinese Epiphones out of the water, IMHO.
This one has a nice, darkish rosewood neck and weights in at 9.97 Ibs. The weight is very balanced, unlike some Les Pauls, so feels good on a strap. I'd say the neck resembles a '59 carve,
