Up for sale today we have a 1986 Martin D-28 in natural finish. It has been well loved and played of the years. Guitar weighs in at 4 pounds 15 ounces. With serial number 461922. The guitar does have a passive pickup with endpin jack, that sounds incredible. Since the D-28 first appeared in the 1935 C.F. Martin & Company catalog, the big, balanced and articulate sound of the D-28 has made it a consistent top choice for acoustic guitarists across virtually every genre. The D-28 comes with martins signature non scalloped X-bracing. With a solid Sitka spruce top and solid east Indian rosewood back and sides. With a number of repairs done to it by a professional luthier. Typical with martin guitar the binding shrunk over the years and has been repaired and had new pieces of binding added in to the original, with some glue residue. On the back it has a small surface crack that runs near the center. The bridge has been reset but looks to be seated well. The neck has been professionally reset. On the back of the headstock a small crack was repaired between the tuners that is less than 1mm deep but has been properly repaired. Please note the finish wear, dings, glue residue and scratches that run all along the guitar( please see attached pictures). Guitar comes with original Martin hard shell case.
