Cette année-là, la Telecaster a reçu quelques changements, comme de nouveaux pontets en acier sur le bridge, un manche en érable au profil en « U » plus confortable, ainsi qu’un pickguard monocouche blanc cassé. Superbe autant au niveau du look que du son, la ’54 Relic recrée fidèlement ce modèle mythique avec son tip switch style vintage et ses micros bobinés à la main. Grâce à son radius de 9,5 pouces et à ses frettes 6105, elle offre aussi un jeu plus moderne et agréable pour les guitaristes d’aujourd’hui.

La ’54 Relic Telecaster est équipée du câblage Fat 50’s Tele, d’un brisge Tele style 1955-1957 et de mécaniques vintage. On y retrouve aussi un pickup de bridge hand-wound ’51 Nocaster et un pickup de neck hand-wound ’51 Loaded Nocaster, pour un son bien équilibré. Elle comprend un sélecteur 3 positions et un sillet en os. L’étui rigide deluxe et le certificat d’authenticité sont inclus.

Combining the classic style with modern features, this guitar stems from a distinctive year for the Telecaster - 1954. The Telecaster received a few updates that year, novel steel barrel bridge saddles were joined by a new "U"-shaped quartersawn maple neck profile and single-ply White Eggshell pickguard. Matchless in look and tone, the '54 Relic is loyal recreation of this classic with its period-correct top hat switch tip and hand-wound pickups. Providing the modern playability of a 9.5"-radius fingerboard with 6105 frets, Fender Custom Shop has fashioned a tried and true workhorse for today's nostalgic player.
