Personal Thoughts:
The Art & Historic Super 400 is one of Gibson’s true top-tier statement pieces and exactly the sort of guitar that feels special before you even play a note. It has all the visual drama and prestige you would want from a flagship archtop, but still feels like a serious instrument rather than just something ornamental. The Natural finish works beautifully on a guitar like this as well, as it lets the elegance of the build do the talking and gives it that classic high-end jazz box look. The Gibson ’57 Classics are a nice fit here too, bringing a warm, open and refined voice that suits the model really well. This sounds like the sort of example collectors actually want — clean, original and complete with its original COA. A very classy Gibson and a proper collector’s piece.
Condition Report:
Excellent condition. A really clean overall example and very much a collector-grade piece. Supplied with its original COA.
