Brand: Zildjian

Series: A Family (Avedis)

Size: 18" / 45cm

Finish: Traditional

Condition: Used - Good (Honest Player's Wear)

Up for sale is a workhorse Zildjian 18" Avedis Ride cymbal. If you need a highly articulate, smaller-footprint ride that doubles as a legendary, dark crash, this classic B20 bronze pie is the perfect addition to your kit. It has been broken in beautifully over time and plays with that warm, vintage complexity that only comes with a played-in cymbal.

The Versatile Sound Choice

The 18" A Ride sits perfectly between a bright, focused timekeeper and a swelling, wash-heavy crash. It offers an incredibly clean stick tip sound on the bow, a defined, musical bell, and opens up instantly into a powerful roar when shouldered with a stick crash.

Key Features:

  • B20 Cast Bronze Alloy: Crafted using Zildjian’s legendary secret alloy recipe for timeless durability and maximum musical tone.
  • Dual-Purpose Functionality: Functions beautifully as a focused, controlled ride or as a giant, dark accent crash.
  • Traditional Finish: Unlathed/unpolished styling gives it a slightly lower fundamental pitch and smoother, warmer high-end overtones.

Condition Notes (Honest Wear):

  • Structural Integrity: No cracks, no chips, and no dents. The structural foundation of this cymbal is completely solid.
  • Edge Condition: Smooth all the way around with no rough flea bites or impact marks.
  • Surface Visuals: Shows significant signs of wear and surface staining/patina consistent with regular gigging and stick use (see photos). The logos may be faded, but the genuine character is fully intact. It has not been cleaned or polished to preserve its natural, dark sonic qualities.
  • Mounting Hole: Cleanly round with no keyholing.
  • Performance: Plays and sounds exactly as a premium Avedis Zildjian should—perfectly balanced with plenty of dynamic response
