The DOD Performer Delay 585 is a vintage analog delay pedal manufactured in the early 1980s. It is highly regarded by collectors and tone-chasers for its warm, dark, and organic bucket-brigade device (BBD) delay characteristics.
Tone and Circuitry
- MN3005 BBD Chip: The heart of the pedal is the famous high-voltage MN3005 silicon chip, which gives the unit its classic "lo-fi" grit and smooth, musical signal degradation.
- Delay Time: It provides a delay range of approximately 60ms to 300ms, ideal for classic rockabilly slapback echoes or haunting, cavernous washes.
- Extreme Self-Oscillation: The controls are highly sensitive; turning the Repeat knob past the noon position coaxes out wild, pitch-shifting "spaceship" sounds and heavy dub-style feedback loops
- Condition: Overall in Very Good condition showing minor players wear. It has been cleaned, tested and is fully functional
