Overview: Manufactured by Danelectro for Sears, Roebuck and Co., this 1962 Silvertone model 1448 is a legendary piece of mid-century guitar history. The instrument features a short-scale Masonite semi-hollow body finished in a striking Black Sparkle, complemented by a matching "dolphin nose" headstock, a white "seal" shaped pickguard, and white textured vinyl side-binding tape. It is equipped with a single, highly resonant lipstick tube single-coil pickup and a wooden saddle bridge. The true centerpiece of this package is the iconic Amp-in-Case, a hardshell guitar case featuring a built-in tube amplifier and speaker combo housed directly inside the lid, allowing you to plug in and play anywhere.
