Description:

Up for sale is a 2007 Yamaha VC5 Full-Size (4/4) Acoustic Cello.

While the VC3 is Yamaha's standard student model, the VC5 is a significant step up. It features a completely hand-carved solid spruce top and solid maple back/sides (no laminates) that have been aged for over 5 years. It is finished with a hand-applied oil varnish and premium rosewood fittings rather than standard ebony. It delivers a much warmer, deeper, and more resonant tone, making it highly sought after by advancing students and orchestra programs.

Condition Report & Disclosures (Please Read Carefully): This cello has been well-played and shows clear signs of age and use.

• Cosmetic Wear: There are various scuffs, scratches, and edge wear around the body consistent with an instrument that spent years in a school orchestra environment.
• Cracking: There is some minor cracking present on the body (please refer closely to the detailed photos). [Seller Note: Insert whether the cracks are open, stable, or if they have been previously repaired by a luthier here]. The price has been significantly adjusted downwards to account for these cosmetic and structural imperfections.
• Setup: The bridge and soundpost are currently intact, and it holds tension, but due to the cracking and age, it is being sold As-Is and may benefit from a luthier's setup or minor seam attention to bring it back to 100% peak performance.
