Fender 59’ American Vintage Reissue Thin Skin Wildwood 2016 Strat.

This is the last run Wildwood did of the flash coat nitro/nitro and the only way to get this true thin coat of nitro is through the Custom Shop now.
The guitar plays and sounds amazing, the Custom Shop 54 pickups in this are outstanding. Pristine Strat tones out of the these for days.It has a gorgeous Rosewood board w/ barely any fret wear at all.. You will not be disappointed. Comes with trem bar as well..

Very good condition and double cutaway contoured alder body with three tone sunburst with a very rare "thin skin" nitrocellulose finish, multi-ply mint green plastic pickguard, three '54 Custom Shop pickups with white plastic covers, two volume controls and one tone control with white plastic skirted knobs, five way pickup selector switch with white plastic switch tip, pointed oval shaped output jack plate mounted to the top treble side of the body, vintage style Fender tremolo bridge with six individual adjustable bent steel Fender stamped saddles, bolt on maple neck, slab rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlays starting at the third fret and 9.5" radius, bone nut, small Fender Stratocaster peghead shape with Fender spaghetti logo, Stratocaster logo and Contoured Body decal logo, six in a line vintage Kluson style tuning machines, four bolt neck fastening plate with serial number..

This very fine 2016 Fender American Vintage 59 Reissue Stratocaster is in very good cosmetic condition. The instrument shows only slight signs of play wear throughout. There is a ding near the bridge that is about 1/4" in length and .5mm deep. There is one small scuff on the treble side horn on the back of the body, a flea-sized ding near the spring cavity and some finish scuffs above the pickguard from certain angles. There's also a few dings on the bottom side under the pickguard from lap playing.Otherwise, this is a very clean guitar which has been well cared for.

The neck profile on this Stratocaster is that of a 60’s D shape. This profile feels very nice, is comfortable and very easy to play. The original frets show little to no play wear and have a lifetime of use left in them.

This instrument plays great up and down the fingerboard. The thin skin nitrocellulose finish allows for better breathability and allows the instrument to age like a vintage Stratocaster.

The '54 Custom Shop pickups (upgraded tone cap) are in excellent working order. This guitar sounds absolutely fantastic and delivers quintessential Stratocaster tones with ease. The pickups are very well balanced in all five positions, have a nice clear articulate tone and are really touch sensitive and dynamic.

This guitar is housed in its original rectangular Tolex Fender hard shell case for safe travels. If you are looking for a top notch reissue model, then you've found it. To obtain a flash-coated direct to wood thin nitrocellulose application these days, you would need to go to the Custom Shop. This finish is unlikely to be found on a production Fender ever again.
