Selling my 1974 Gibson ES-150DN. This thing sounds great and plays smooth, just doesn't get the love it deserves in my rotation. Beautiful natural finish with all the vintage vibes - nice lacquer checking that gives it that aged character you'd expect from a 50-year-old Gibson.
It's a fully hollow archtop in the ES-335 style, super warm and resonant. Perfect for jazz, blues, or anything where you want that woody hollowbody tone. Neck feels great, action is dialed in nicely.
Full disclosure on the details:
- Headstock was professionally repaired before I got it. Repair is solid, no issues whatsoever.
- Master volume pot has a quirk where it can over-rotate and cut out if you mess with it. I just leave it set and use my guitar's volume knob, so it's never bothered me. Easy fix if you're handy or want to swap the pot.
- Typical finish checking and wear you'd expect on a vintage guitar - honestly makes it look cooler IMO
This is a player's guitar with character, not a collector piece. Plays great, sounds amazing, just ready to go to someone who'll actually use it.
