Legendary Fender Mustang Bass, manufactured in 1966 and 1981, then reproduced from the late 1990s until 2014. Hard to find in Japan. Model MB98-CO SD Short Scale Competition Racing in LPB (Lake Placid Blue), made in Japan in 2008. This color is very hard to find in Japan. Very rare on the used market.

Excellent craftsmanship, slim neck (38 mm at the nut) is very comfortable. As for the sound, it's funky and punchy. Many rock and garage bands love this tone. Very playable bass, easy access to the higher frets, and a superb look. A toy for grown-ups!

Very good overall condition, very few signs of wear, frets: 8.5/10, immaculate fretboard (see photos for details).

Please note: do not confuse these with current models made in Mexico (larger frets, satin neck finish, 42mm nut, non-rosewood fingerboard, Mexican pickups, etc.) and the new, soulless American Performer MB models from the US.
