Kenwood Model Eleven II — Recently Serviced | 80W/Ch Monster Receiver

A rare and impressive piece of golden-age audio history — the Kenwood Model Eleven II. Originally sold exclusively through overseas military PX/Exchange locations (also known as the KR-10000 II), this beast puts out a clean, powerful 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms and fills any room with a wide, detailed soundstage.

This unit has been recently professionally serviced and everything works as it should — tuner pulls in stations with ease, phono section sounds fantastic, all controls and switches are clean and responsive, meters are functioning. The flywheel-weighted tuning knob is smooth and satisfying to use, just as it should be.

The one exception is the timer, which is non-functional — this is extremely common with the Eleven series. The nylon gears inside are known to become brittle over time and fail. The timer has been bypassed so the receiver powers on and off normally; it simply won't auto-shutoff. This is the standard fix and is easily reversible.
