Up for sale is a vintage 1970s Rogers 5x14" Chrome Over Brass (COB) Powertone Snare Drum in Excellent Condition.The Rogers Powertone is widely regarded as one of the most musical, articulate, and versatile vintage brass snare drums ever made. It features a seamless brass shell that delivers a rich, complex tone with a fantastic throaty bark, bright rimshots, and a brilliant, singing sustain.Era & Identification:This is a classic Fullerton, CA era build (early 1970s). While the internal paper label is partially faded and difficult to read, the distinct stylized script font used for the "Powertone" model name, the shell specs, and the original hardware configurations firmly date it to the celebrated early-70s Fullerton production run.Specifications & Hardware:

• Condition: There is only very minor, standard vintage pitting/cosmetic age wear as expected on a well-cared-for drum of this era. Bearing edges are smooth and completely true, and the strainer operates flawlessly. No extra holes or modifications. The internal badge is damaged as seen in pictures.

This drum sounds phenomenal completely wide open, providing incredible wire sensitivity across the entire head and a crisp pocket that cuts through any musical mix.
