Constructed from Selmer USA’s durable Resonite composite material, these earlier Bundy clarinets are often noticeably freer-blowing and more acoustically substantial than many later standardized student instruments.

Body & Condition

Constructed from Selmer USA’s proprietary Resonite composite material, the body remains in good overall condition with only normal cosmetic wear present. Scratches, blemishes, and signs of handling are visible throughout the instrument consistent with normal use and age, though all are purely cosmetic.

The bore measures approximately 15.1 mm (0.594"), giving this clarinet a relatively open playing feel with broad airflow and strong chalumeau response compared to many later student clarinets. Included is the original 66 mm barrel.

These earlier Bundy clarinets are often associated with a broader tonal spread and freer airflow than later Bundy II models, reflecting an older American clarinet design philosophy emphasizing durability, openness, and ease of response.
