Rickenbacker Lap Steel Electro 30s-40s? - Black Rickenbacker

Listed as non-functioning but does actually work. Listed this way because it appears that the neck was broken off from the body at one point and put back on badly. There is a great angle at the joint as shown in some of the last photos. Meaning that broken off part of the neck angles upward quite a bit when lying flat. You can see all around the joint that there is gaps and some sort of glue or epoxy as well as on the fingerboard in this area. Pickup works and sound good. A few of the strings hit the bottom of the horseshoe because of this angle. However when you rest a tone bar on it and press down a little it's not so bad. So I'm calling this a somewhat playable project. It would definitely benefit from having the neck taken off again and put on correctly. Case appears to have been glued back together In areas Locking latch does not seem to engage or move. I believe it is in the locked position.
