This guitar was refurbished by MIRC (which is why the serial number is reassigned). It is stamped "used" to prevent warranty claims. This guitar is overall in excellent condition. This guitar has no major flaws of note. There are some light surface scratches that are difficult to picture, but only noticable up close. Plays well and has a passive acoustic pickup added (no volume, battery or tone control), which is tested and working well. This particular model has a very nice clarity and sparkle. This item comes with a deluxe Alvarez gig bag/case pictured.

To celebrate their Diamond Anniversary, Alvarez has crafted a truly exclusive instrument for the discerning player: the Alvarez MF70 Masterworks Diamond 60th Anniversary Limited-Edition Folk-OM.

Dressed in a striking, deep Blacktop Gloss finish with a subtle burst edge, this Orchestra Model (OM) balances breathtaking boutique aesthetics with a matured, powerhouse voice that commands the room.

Key Features

  • Strictly Limited Global Run: One of only 60 individually numbered pieces worldwide, complete with an exclusive, commemorative soundhole label.
  • All-Solid Premium Tonewoods: Features a top-tier AAA Solid North American Sitka Spruce top paired with Solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides for unparalleled clarity and warmth.
  • Advanced Tonal Response (ATR™): The tonewoods undergo a specialized thermo-kiln torrefaction process, curing the wood to deliver the complex, open, and resonant voice of a vintage, decades-old guitar from day one.
  • FS6 Bracing System: A forward-shifted, scalloped X-bracing design that allows the bridge area of the soundboard to vibrate freely, maximizing projection, volume, and note separation.
  • The "Soft-V-to-C" Hybrid Neck: Crafted from smooth African Mahogany, the neck profile seamlessly transitions from a gentle 'V' near the headstock (ideal for open-chord gripping) to a 'C' shape higher up the fretboard for effortless lead work and fingerstyle mobility.
  • Exquisite Diamond Appointments: Adorned with premium blue abalone diamond fingerboard inlays, abalone top purfling, a dual-ring rosette, and a unique 12th-fret anniversary inlay that will never be used on another Alvarez run.
