I modified this Flat Box it with my 'Blue Rat Phat Mod'. First I installed a Motorola LM308 OpAmp on an 8 dip caddy, meaning it can be swapped out for other OpAmps without the need for Soldering. I then replaced several Capacitors with higher grade caps, changing some of their values to enhance the Rat's legendary sound. I also increased the voltage of the components to allow the pedal to be powered from 9v-18v DC centre negative, all of this adding Headroom, Better Bass and Mids to achieve a whole new level of Distortion to Fuzz effects.

A Boss Style plug adaptor has been included. so the pedal can be powered from a Power supply Adaptor or a 9v Battery (neither included). There will be slightly more drain on a Battery due to increased voltage. True Bypass. Dating this Pedal will likely prove to be late 1990's.

Great natural sounding gain and then some. There’s enough volume to boost any amp into true overdrive! Also a Blue LED has been installed. Probably the best distortion pedal ever made, made even better IMHO, this pedal is an absolute beast! Original box has been misplaced.
