Leedy Broadway "Nite Club" 4 Piece Drum Set - 1946 - Black Diamond Pearl (C019)

In the shop on consignment: This is a one owner 1940s Leedy Broadway "Nite Club" 4 piece drum set with accessories. The sizes are 9x13, 16x16, 14x26, and a 6.5x14 Broadway Standard Snare. It also includes the original hi hat stand (missing a foot), aluminum snare stand, bass drum pedal (hoop clamp is broken), plus multiple original clamps, spurs, mutes, etc. It also includes a pair of Pre-Trans stamp 1940s A. Zildjian 15" thin crashes (used as hats in photos - one is cracked the other is not) and a Stanople Uzuiriope 12" Splash Cymbal (cracked).

The kit needs a light restoration (disassemble, clean, polish, and reassemble), but the drums are structurally sound and very much complete. The snare drum has already been restored as an example of how the rest of the kit will clean up. There are no extra holes except for where a non original muffler was installed on the rack tom. The wrap on the toms and snare is tight and free of cracks. Seams are good. The bass drum was stored in a separate place over the years. Consequently the wrap on the top of the drum is badly cracked and split. It has been glued down and the drum is playable as-is but it would be a good re-wrap candidate. The hoop inlays have shrunk and are curved out. One of the bass drum hoops is missing about half of the inlay, but the hoops are solid and round. One of the bass drum heads is original. The floor tom is all original except for the batter head. One of the floor tom legs is just slightly bent.

The hardware lot includes two cymbal clamps (the cymbal arms are not original), hi hat stand, snare stand, pedal, Two different pairs of Leedy clamp-on spurs (one pair has a wing nut that sheared off), Leedy bass dampener, WFL bass drum dampener, wood block mount (incomplete), Leedy wood block, and a flute/whistle. Some of the wing nuts and fasteners are missing or not original.

I have a lot more pictures available. I'm able to sell the snare and/or cymbals separate but would prefer to keep the kit together.
