Martin 000-18 1970 - fresh neck reset
This 000 just got a neck reset and fresh setup so the playability, intonation, and comfort is fantastic
There are expected signs of playwear for a 56 year old guitar, but it’s all the things you want out of a vintage instrument. The top has aged really nicely, lots of finish checking, and all the edges have that rounded off feel.
It’s very light and dry sounding like you want out of mahogany. The neck is narrow at the nut at 1-1/16” and the carve has a slight vintage V feel. Thicker than a modern neck but not a baseball bat.
Other than the neck reset, there do not appear to be modifications or major structural repairs. The soundboard, back, and sides are all intact. There are signs of stress on the back that outline the heel block.
I have the original chipboard case that doesn’t have much too much padding, but extra care can be taken for shipping. I also have a newer premium Martin 3 ply case that I could ship it in for extra cost.
