Rare One-Off Custom: Balaguer Vega 7-String Multiscale Headless
This is a rare, one-off custom Korean Balaguer Vega 7-string multiscale, commissioned in April 2020 for nearly $2,000. It is a purpose-built modern metal machine, and you rarely see a headless, single-pickup multiscale built quite like this. It pairs a lightweight ash body with top-tier headless hardware and a single slanted Truenobucker that delivers an incredibly tight, aggressive tone. I have owned five Balaguers and their stock pickups always impress, but I just did not bond with this specific build the way I hoped, so it is time to pass it to someone who will put it to heavy use.
It plays like a dream right out of the case. It just got a fresh setup with new strings, a fret dress, and dialed-in intonation. Structurally and functionally, it is rock solid. There are no paint chips or major blemishes, just some slight, natural play wear on the back of the satin finish. The original Balaguer gigbag is included
