This is a truly special vintage set of 1975 ESP boutique custom shop Navigator "Hi-Fidelity" single-coil pickups. Handcrafted in small batches exclusively for ESP’s prestigious Navigator brand in their Tokyo workshop, these pickups were never offered for individual sale and are rarely seen on the market today.

Each pickup was meticulously hand scatter-wound using Alnico 5 magnets in a faithful 1950s Fender style. ESP designed them with roughly identical specs of 2.2H / 5.8k ohms across the set (with only the natural, organic variations that come from true hand-winding). Early Navigator instruments were built with obsessive attention to recreating the spirit and specs of prime 1950s Fender guitars, and these pickups are the heart of that vision—delivering consistent, authentic vintage tone without the wild inconsistencies of many period-correct reproductions.

When installed, these pickups capture that authentic late-1950s Stratocaster magic like few others. Expect a fat, full-bodied voice with substantial low-end weight and authority, rich and complex mids that add real depth and vocal character, plus an airy, sparkling high end with a pleasing sizzling snap—never thin, ice-picky, or sterile.
