We are selling this 1907 violin made by Antonio Curatoli No 2238. The violin in very good condition. The middle latch works but the tab has broken and there is one picture without blue tape covering. Similar Antonio Curatoli violins have sold for $5,000 to $9,000 at auctions recently. This violin weigh 1 lb 0.5 oz and inside the case the total weight is 4 lb 10.9 oz. The label says made in Italy but a quick search shows that these Curatoli violins were made in Germany even though the label is marked Italy:
