The Cre8audio Mr. Phil Ter is a compact, affordable 12HP Eurorack modular synthesizer module. Developed in collaboration with Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers, it packs three essential synthesis building blocks into a single unit: [1, 2, 3]
- Classic Transistor Ladder Filter: An analog low-pass filter that delivers rich, juicy vintage warmth. It can be cranked into self-oscillation, allowing it to function as a sine wave oscillator on its own.
- Clean VCA: A squeaky-clean, DC-coupled voltage-controlled amplifier.
- Digital Envelope Generator: A digital envelope that features independent fast (\(0-5\)s) and slow (\(0-10\)s) outputs for versatile sound shaping. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
A fun "Easter egg" mode also allows the envelope to quantize itself to 7 bits, producing stepped, sample-and-hold style modulation effects
