For sale is a wonderful Cedar Mountain J200 Series 5/6 or 5+1 banjo (additional low G or A string) in curly maple, rolled brass tone ring, beautiful moon and stars inlays on head stock with an 11” pot in excellent condition. 25.5 inch scale, pot is about 3" deep, and nut is about 1.50" as pictured. Has arm rest. Railroad spike on 7th fret.
The tuning is a gGDGBD - basically a 5 string banjo with an extra lower string. This really allows to play ALL the notes of fiddle tunes and get some really nice low string resonances in your playing.
I'm not original owner, seller apparently had a pro set up on it. The banjo has been upgraded with a John Balch hide head and a Seeders bridge. Plays and sounds great! Original bridge included too. Please note although the frets don’t continue to the pot there is no scoop. Comes with a solid TKL hard case (not pictured). Stand is not included.
I'm moving and have to sell this fine banjo. Played at a few smoke free jams but otherwise kept my smoke-free home.
All sales final no returns! But feel free to reach out with questions and I'll do my best to respond quickly.
Reasonable offers considered!
Ships to lower 48 states USA only.
