Personal Thoughts:
This is a seriously cool M2M Flying V and one that feels a bit more special than the standard Custom Shop V formula. The Cobra Burst finish is the obvious standout feature, and on a Flying V Custom it gives the guitar a much richer, more dramatic look than the usual black or white route. The AAA flame maple top is a big part of that as well, because it brings a lot more visual depth and makes the guitar feel properly custom rather than just a colour change. I also really like the underlying spec. The solid mahogany body, ebony board and chunky “D” neck keep it feeling substantial and high end, while the 490R and 498T set gives it a thicker, punchier, slightly hotter voice that suits a Flying V really well. At 7 lbs 5 oz it sounds nicely balanced too, which is always a plus on a V. A very striking M2M Custom Shop build and exactly the sort of guitar that feels a bit more exclusive than the standard catalogue pieces.
