1958 Olds Ambassador Bb Cornet. These were the best student cornets and trumpets back in the 1950s-1970s. They have stood the test of time and are still desirable. This one is from the early Fullerton years. Most experts agree that this one fits in with the best years of Olds. Solidly built horns. Valves and slides on this one work just great. there are a bunch of cosmetic issues, and some dings. But overall, still a great playing cornet. Comes with an Olds Ambassador case. This is the attractive but bulky wooden case that Olds made for a few years. What were they thinking?? Also comes with a lyre, and an Olds 3 cornet mouthpiece. (This cornet was made soon after Olds changed their cornet receivers to take standard cornet mouthpieces in 1956)
