One of the most unique and upscale solid-body designs ever produced by Gibson, the L5-S Custom blends the elegance and sophistication of the legendary L-5 archtop with the sustain and punch of a solid-body electric guitar.

Designed during Gibson’s golden era of experimentation, the L5-S features an all-maple construction that delivers exceptional clarity, fast attack, tight lows, and shimmering highs. The low-impedance pickup system provides a broad hi-fi tonal range with incredible articulation and dynamic response, making these guitars favorites among players seeking something truly different from a traditional Les Paul or SG.

The Cherry Sunburst finish, multi-ply binding, ebony fingerboard, and block inlays give this instrument unmistakable vintage luxury and stage presence.

This example remains original (OG) with the exception of a professional refret and comes complete with its Original Hardshell Case (OHSC).

Condition is rated at 8.5/10 – Very Good for its age. This guitar has been heavily played and shows honest wear throughout, including noticeable finish wear on the top from years of playing and a gouge near the rear control cavity panel. Despite the cosmetic wear, the guitar plays exceptionally well and has clearly been maintained as a serious player’s instrument.
