This is an all original beautiful sounding 1965 Gibson ES-335TD. For its age it's in wonderful shape and has some of best checking I've seen in a vintage instrument.
It's only had minor cleaning done to it to preserve the natural aging and patina to the original finish. There are dents and dings that one would expect from an instrument of this age and plenty of fret wear, which is understandable as this guitar begs to be played.
The truss rod works perfectly and adjusts the neck with very little effort. Better than most modern instruments. The headstock is intact and has never been broken or repaired.
All electronics work as designed with only very minor scratching at certain points when turning them fast while playing. Almost not worth noting it's so minor.
The pickups function perfectly and are the original highly desirable PAF models.
There is a crack in the neck pickup bezel that doesn't effect anything st all and there are 3 bent tuners that still function perfectly with very low effort. They appear to have been bent a long time ago as there is some wear on the headstock from the G string tuner.
As mentioned, there is plenty of fret wear but the guitar still plays well, but to get the best playability and lowest action it should probably be refretted. We decided against having it refretted ourselves to let the new owner and their luthier have full freedom to address it as they see fit.
It weighs 8lbs 3oz
This guitar will ship with a brand new Gator GC-335 case.
