The Burl Audio BAD4 is a world-class analog-to-digital converter daughter card for the for the B80 and B16 Mothership. Featuring four channels of pristine audio conversion up to 192 kHz, 24-bit, the BAD4 delivers unparalleled audio quality in a compact package.

CLASS A CIRCUITRY

The BAD4 analog-to-digital converter daughter card is the result of over 25 years of research, development and experience. Equipped with the exact same class-A discrete transistor circuit path as the best-selling B2 Bomber analog-to-digital converter, the BAD4 delivers four channels of Burl’s renowned audio quality in a compact daughter card format. With zero circuit path capacitors, the BAD4 is able to achieve a feedback-free design.

BX1 INPUT TRANSFORMER

The BAD4 is equipped with a high-definition BX1 input transformer, capable of delivering true analog grit. At low levels, the BAD4 delivers a clean, crisp sound reminiscent of high-end digital audio gear. Push the meters into the red to drive the BX1 input transformers for loads of colorful saturation.

BURL AUDIO MOTHERSHIP

Burl Audio are known for their innovate B80 and B16 Mothership rack devices, which can be customized with preamps, digital audio converters, word clocks and more. Each daughter card is equipped with transformers in the input stage and op-amps in the output stage, combining the flexibility and pristine sound of digital audio with the character and attitude of an all class-A discrete signal path. Perfect for home studios, commercial recording studios and post-production houses and broadcast facilities, the Mothership can be customized to suit any session. And with digital control options for SoundGrid, Dante and more, the B80 Mothership can even be used as a studio-grade stage box in live sound applications.
