Really awesome and rare Yamaha alto! This is probably the earliest serial number I’ve seen personally on one of these (143) and is stamped with just the SN and no model designation. The neck is the early butterfly neck. This is very similar to the famous Coltrane prototype. It was recently overhauled and is playing great - it has a really complex sound and feels like a Mark VI.
