Personal Thoughts:
This is exactly the sort of Les Paul that gets people excited. The BOTB Page #58 angle already gives it much more presence than a standard reissue, and the spec underneath is every bit as strong as you would want. The handpicked AAA flame maple top, lightweight one-piece mahogany body, long tenon construction and uncovered white-bobbin Custombucker Alnico 3 set all point to a very serious modern R9. I also think the BOTB Page 58 Burst finish is a huge part of the appeal here, especially with the Murphy Lab Heavy Aged treatment. It gives the guitar that convincingly played-in vintage look people actually want, while still keeping all the visual drama of a strong figured top. At 8.80 lbs it sounds like a very nicely judged example too. A very desirable Dealer Select Murphy Lab burst and exactly the sort of guitar that feels collectible while still being every bit a proper player.
Condition Report:
Mint / new condition. Overseas import example. Murphy Lab Heavy Aged finish is factory correct as part of the original spec. Presents exceptionally well overall, with no noteworthy wear to mention.
