Personal Thoughts:
This is exactly the sort of Dealer Select Murphy Lab burst that feels genuinely special. The BOTB Page #78 finish is the obvious headline feature, and that is really what gives the guitar its identity. These Beauty of the Burst-inspired runs work so well because they are not just another generic burst variation — they are aimed at capturing a very particular vintage look, and that always gives them a bit more appeal than a standard catalogue finish. The rest of the spec is equally strong. Handpicked AAA flame maple over lightweight mahogany, the R9 V1 neck carve, rosewood board, unpotted Aged Alnico III Custom Buckers and historic-style ABR-1 all keep it firmly in that high-end modern R9 lane. The Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment is a nice fit here as well, because it should let the top and finish do the talking without overdoing the wear. A very desirable Custom Shop Les Paul and exactly the sort of burst that feels collectible while still being a serious player.
